Syncio can be used by Shopify and WooCommerce stores of any size or type. Both Source Stores (suppliers and brands) and Destination Stores (retailers and marketplaces) can use Syncio. They both have the ability to invite other stores to connect on the platform.

Syncio is designed to be a universal store connection tool, so it’s up to you if you want to just connect your own expansion stores or branch out and work with third party retailers/suppliers.

Shipturtle

Shipturtle is designed for online marketplaces specifically. Shipturtle’s integrations include Shopify, Woo, and Magento. Shipturtle users have to invite other store types to the platform and ultimately, they run the arrangement. They do have a Vendor sync app but it’s currently in a limited beta version.

Inventory sync capabilities

Syncio

Syncio ensures any order made on the destination store will have stock synced in real-time as well as the option to push the order to the vendor/supplier’s store for fulfillment. This happens automatically after the stores and products are connected. So you don’t have to worry about manually managing stock. If an order is cancelled or refunded, Syncio will automatically adjust the supplier’s stock. You can also get started in just a few simple steps.

Syncio allows you to customize what information you sync, including metafields, tags, descriptions, prices, and more. Once your Syncio settings are set, you are free to manage products as normal in your store.

Shipturtle

Shipturtle’s product management settings are rich, but some tools (like bulk actions and custom vendor setting) are not available on the cheapest plan.

Like Syncio, Shipturtle syncs and updates inventory in real-time whenever an order is made or an item is returned. The dashboard system is quite similar, the main difference being that Shipturtle has a page for vendors only, whereas Syncio can sync inventory across all store types. Vendor onboarding for Shipturtle is also relatively straightforward.

Another distinction is that there are no low-stock alerts or safety stock buffer features on Shipturtle, so you will have to stay alert to avoid stockouts.

Payment features

Syncio

Syncio’s payouts feature automatically keeps track of products sold by vendors and allows you to invoice, making calculations based on your set commissions. You also have the option to manually adjust payment statuses and add notes, making it fully flexible and customizable. You can’t pay through the app; instead, the app provides an accurate record of payment.

Shipturtle

Shipturtle also has an automatic payouts feature and an integrated payment gateway. But you can only pay via Paypal or Stripe. There’s also less flexibility in that you can’t manually set payment statuses. This can cause inconveniences if you experience a technical difficulty with the automation.
